Cookie Policy

The essential oc_anon cookie identifies your anonymous Offer Compare drafts and documents so other visitors cannot access them. It is a random ownership token, not an advertising or analytics identifier. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, lasts 24 hours, and is set only when an anonymous comparison or upload is first persisted. Only a one-way hash of the token is stored on the server.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, understand how you use the site, and deliver a consistent experience. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage.

Analytics cookies are used by default to measure aggregate site usage; you can turn them off at any time using the cookie settings on this page, and we automatically turn them off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Essential cookies (sign-in, security) remain required.

RatesQ uses Google Analytics cookies by default to understand in aggregate how visitors navigate the Platform. You can turn analytics off in the Cookie Preference Center below. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off regardless of your saved preference.

RatesQ does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not currently sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The advertising preference is reserved for optional cookies we may offer in the future; we will update this policy before introducing them.

With your consent, functional cookies enable enhanced Platform features such as remembering your calculator inputs, display preferences, and other personalization settings. These cookies improve your experience but are not required for the Platform to operate.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

• View and delete cookies stored on your device
• Block cookies from specific websites
• Block all third-party cookies
• Clear all cookies when you close the browser

Note: Blocking essential cookies will prevent the Platform from functioning correctly.

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. RatesQ does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to them. We will reassess this position if a standard is established.
